Lisa Wynn

I am a devoted wife, mother of five, and proud grandmother of eighteen, as well as the owner at Wynn Medical Center. Being the backbone of both my home and my career is not just a role I carry, it is a responsibility I embrace with pride.

My medical journey began in 2001, starting from the ground up as a SRNA and steadily advancing through LPN, RN, BSN, and ultimately earning a double MSN. Since 2016, I have practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner, serving patients at ARH Hospital in cardiology and at Mountain Comprehensive Health Center as a family nurse practitioner. Every step of my career has been built on hard work, determination, and a genuine love for medicine.

Three years ago, I founded Wynn Medical Center, where I take great pride in serving my fellow community members. Creating a space where patients feel valued, heard, and cared for has been one of my greatest professional accomplishments.

I am endlessly curious about the human body and drawn to the challenge of complex medical cases. I thrive on learning, digging deep into unknown medical journeys, and finding solutions that make a real difference. In the clinic, I bring calm to the chaos, carrying myself with steady confidence and remaining composed during even the most strenuous times. Patients and colleagues alike know they can rely on my focus, stability, and strength when things feel overwhelming.

I take pride in treating every patient as more than a number or a payment. Compassion, respect, and connection are at the heart of my practice. Friendly and welcoming, I am often referred to as “Mom” wherever I work or whenever children are around me, a reflection of the warmth and guidance I naturally extend to others.

Outside of work, you can find me spending time with my growing family, building puzzles, knitting, diving into complex medical research, or porch sitting on warm summer evenings. Medicine is my profession, but caring for people is who I am.

FNP/Founder

Walt Wynn Jr.

As the Billing and Front Desk Coordinator at Wynn Medical Clinic, I am the first voice you hear when you call and the first face you see when you walk through our doors. Providing efficient, and organized experience for every patient is something I take seriously. I believe in handling business first and doing it right.

Before joining Wynn Medical Clinic, I spent nearly 20 years working in the coal mines, where I performed nearly every role the industry offers. My true calling was as an Electrician and Repairman, a position that required precision, discipline, and problem-solving under pressure. That background shaped the work ethic and attention to detail I bring into the clinic every day.

I am the eldest son of our provider and a married father of four, two boys and two girls. My wife, Catherine, is an LPN who previously worked alongside me at Wynn Medical Clinic, and serving our community together has been a meaningful part of our journey. Family is at the center of everything I do.

Outside of work, you’ll find me spending time with my family, enjoying my interests in automobiles, collecting firearms and knives, and diving into music. My taste runs deep into rock history, especially bands I consider legends such as Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. My knowledge of music is nearly as broad as my experience in mining, and I take pride in both.

At Wynn Medical Clinic, I am committed to professionalism, efficiency, and serving our community with integrity. I look forward to assisting you and ensuring your experience with our office is smooth from start to finish.

Billing/Reception
Labororatory Coordinator

Whitney Salmon

I serve as the Laboratory Coordinator for our clinic, managing laboratory operations along with all referrals and prior authorizations. Behind the scenes, I work to keep care moving smoothly, ensuring patients receive timely testing, approvals, and follow-through without unnecessary delays. Organization, persistence, and attention to detail are the backbone of what I do.

I’m 34, married, and a mother of four, which means my life happens almost entirely between work and home. I am the eldest daughtr of the provider and have been side by side with her from the very first day of Wynn Medical Center. When I’m not at the clinic, you’ll usually find me cleaning, reading, or spending time with my kids. Music is my greatest love, with Pink Floyd holding a permanent place at the top. I’m also a lifelong reader of classical literature, especially Jane Austen, with Charlotte Brontë close behind. I love tattoos, Ancient Egyptian history, and anything that invites curiosity or depth. Movies and sports, on the other hand, are a firm no.

I’m currently completing my master’s degree in psychology, graduating this year, with plans to return for my Clinical Laboratory Science degree as well. Learning is something I take seriously, and I’m always looking for ways to expand my skills and understanding, both professionally and personally.

Around the office, I’m known as the loud, spunky, outgoing one who keeps everyone on their toes. I bring energy, honesty, and humor into every room I walk into. Whether it’s problem-solving a difficult authorization or keeping the day moving with a little chaos and laughter, I take pride in being someone my team can rely on.

Registered Nurse

Margie Smith

I am a Registered Nurse at Wynn Medical Center and the younger, and only, sister of the clinic’s provider. I bring years of nursing experience to our clinical team and am currently working toward my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) degree, expanding my ability to support patients with both compassion and clinical insight.

I’m 44, married, and the proud mother of four adult children, with six grandchildren between them. Family is central to my life, and much of my time outside the clinic is spent with the people who matter most to me. When I do step away, you’ll likely find me riding my motorcycle, playing the piano, or enjoying the outdoors, especially during the summer months.

Music has always been a big part of who I am. I play several instruments and appreciate how music brings balance, creativity, and calm into everyday life. I also enjoy digging for old bottles and am an avid collector, drawn to history and the stories hidden in forgotten places.

In the clinic, I’m known as the calm and collected presence on the clinical staff. I pride myself on steady support, thoughtful care, and keeping things grounded, often including keeping my niece, Whitney from the lab, gently but firmly under control. My goal is always to create a reassuring environment for both patients and colleagues, where care feels thoughtful, steady, and personal.
